Project overview
As part of my honors undergraduate project, I worked in a cancer biology lab under Dr. Paul Devis, where I was focused on understanding how T47D breast cancer cells are affected by mutations.
Role of mutations in T47D cancer cells
The project was a 4-month-long research project linked to my Biomedical sciences degree. In this project I worked on T47D cells and was tasked with growing the cells in culture, introducing mutents and observing their effects on cell characteristics like growth and development.
In this project, I was able to sharpen a lot of the lab skills such as western blotting, PCR, Cell culture,etc along with gaining experience on bioinformatics and analysis methods like R, JMP,alpha fold,etc.
